ALLELUIA THE LORD IS RISEN! THE LORD IS RISEN INDEED, ALLELUIA!
Welcome to our Worship for The Second Sunday of Easter, April 11, 2021.
ALL ARE WELCOME HERE!
The Readings:
Acts 4:32-35; Psalm 133; 1 John 1:1-2:2; John 20:19-31
In today’s story from Acts, the church is described as a community that showed its solidarity by sharing its possessions. Unity and harmony are also praised and upheld in Psalm 133. In the First Letter of John, fellowship within the Christian community is seen as deriving from having fellowship with God through Christ. The Gospel story relates the post-Easter appearance of the risen Lord to the disciples, where he bestows the Spirit on them, and the subsequent interchange with Thomas.
Questions for Reflection:
As you consider the Easter story through postmodern eyes, what is necessary for your belief? How would you tell the Easter story to someone who has never heard it before?
Please feel free to share the link to this worship service with anyone you feel may want to worship with us, or who may be seeking a spiritual home.
