Outreach Ministry
Working upstream of poverty
We are proud to present our outreach ministry. It has been part of this parish since the earliest days of the church, and it remains a central part of our life together today.
Our focus is upstream. Rather than responding only to hardship once it arrives, we support work that addresses the conditions leading to poverty and vulnerable circumstances — food security, education, care for the land, and support for families in their earliest years.
We welcome all, and we accept new members at any time.

Who we support
In 2026 our giving went to three organizations. Each of them works close to the ground, with people they know.
Whitefish Falls, ON · Est. 1950s
Camp Manitou, Bay of Islands
Camp Manitou Bay of Islands is a non-profit, volunteer-run residential summer camp located 12 km west of Whitefish Falls, Ontario, on the North Shore of Lake Huron. It offers affordable youth camps, nature camps and family camp experiences against the beautiful backdrop of the La Cloche Mountains.
In the late 1950s, Camp Manitou came under the jurisdiction of the Anglican Diocese of Algoma to be used as a youth camp. On November 7, 2008, the camp was incorporated as a charitable non-profit corporation that provides camping programs that accentuate whole health and fitness, provides subsidies to campers whose economic situation is disadvantaged, and safeguards and preserves the natural environment.
Camp Manitou has been a member of the Ontario Camping Association (OCA), which sets standards and provides accreditation through camp inspections.
Our part
For 20 years, our outreach committee has sponsored youth and families to attend Camp Manitou each summer, and for the past two years it has contributed to the restoration of Voyageur House.

Alongside Hope
Alongside Hope (formerly the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund) has been connecting Anglicans in Canada to people in need, nationally and internationally, since 1958.
Alongside Hope partners with local organizations to provide much-needed support that:
- improves food security
- champions gender rights
- provides training on conservation agriculture
- creates income opportunities
Partnering with local organizations allows Alongside Hope to be part of a larger, more effective network.
Current projects include the Gaza Humanitarian Project, through the Diocese of Jerusalem’s Middle East Humanitarian Relief, and Northwestern Ontario Fire Relief.
Our part
In 2026 we gave to Northwest fire relief and to St Luke’s Hospital.

The Church of the Epiphany is an Anglican church in the Diocese of Algoma, located at 85 Larch Street in the heart of downtown Sudbury.
Our vision is to be a beacon of hope in downtown Sudbury, demonstrating the love of God for all people.

As part of our outreach ministry, we are proud to support Better Beginnings, Better Futures in their work to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.
