The Diocese of Algoma has just issued a revised statement concerning health and safety protocols for all parishes. We encourage you to read the new protocols through the link provided below. Covid cases are climbing in Ontario, so while some things have changed, most things remain the same. It is important that everyone who attends worship please do the following:
- Wear masks in church at all times
- Use the hand sanitizers that are provided
- Observe physical distancing and stay close to those within your bubble.
- If you do not feel well, stay home and worship with us online
- If you, or someone in your household tests positive for Covid, please notify the church wardens as soon as possible.
- Note that Communion will continue to be administered in one kind only, the wafer.
- If you are welcoming out-of-town guests this Easter Weekend, we encourage you to join us for worship online.
What has changed is that the congregation is permitted to sing again! While this is good news, it is contingent upon every person in our congregation adhering to the health and safety guidelines. Our ability to resume congregational singing will be determined by how well we are able to follow the safety guidelines that are now set before us. If all goes well between Palm Sunday and the end of April, we will then consider resuming our Sunday morning Coffee Hour in the Phoenix Hall. We need to proceed slowly and with caution. As always, throughout every phase of the pandemic, your health and safety remain our top priority.
