Christmas Eve Worship ~ Service of the Word with Carols

Welcome to our Virtual Worship for Christmas Eve 2020.

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.” – Luke 2:10-16

Many of you who have not been able to join us for in-person worship during this Advent season have asked that our online Christmas Eve service contain lots of music. We hope we fulfilled that request with this service.

The Carols used are: O Come All Ye Faithful, What Child Is This, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear, Once in Royal David’s City, In the Bleak Midwinter, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Away in a Manger, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night and Shepherds in the Field Abiding.

On behalf of the Clergy, staff and people of The Church of the Epiphany we wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, New Year.
