Epiphany This Week
ETW is out a day early because Fr. Tim will be off to Yellowknife on Friday to preach at the priesting of Rev. Deacon Joseph Royal. In your prayers this weekend, please pray for Tim as he travels and for Joey as he begins his priestly ministry in the North.
Parish Announcements:
We welcome Rev. Dr. Bob Derrenbacker along with his wife Cindy and their children, Jack and Chloe to the Epiphany for this weekend’s services while Fr. Tim is in Yellowknife.
Parish Council Positions: At the 2012 Annual Vestry Meeting, the terms of the current chairs of Discipleship and Pastoral Concerns will end. There is also a youth position that remains open. The Nominating Committee of Parish Council invites parishioners interested in, or with recommendations for, either position to speak with Jane Kvisto, Kym Marsh, or Bettina Brockerhoff-Macdonald for more information.
Nursery News: We are looking for volunteers to help our parents out in the nursery. Please see Rachel Perry or sign up on the sheet in the Algoma Room if you would like to serve our young families.
Children in Worship: Gracias, Miigwetch, Merci, Thankyou to Scott at House of Broadloom who donated the “Five Star Underlay” (and gave us a great deal) on fabulous carpet for the new Epiphany Children’s Corner. Special thankyous to Ilmar and Alastair for speedy pew removal, to David Buley who also assisted in this venture, and to Audrey who helped with the ribbon cutting ceremony this morning! Remember that this move will be assessed by Parish Council in April. All observations will be considered at that time. Please send yours to the wardens at wardens@epiphanysudbury.org. If you don’t use e-mail, leave your letter “To the Wardens” at the parish office.

YTBN Update: WOWZERS! Last Sunday evening, 15 youth showed up for our meeting, and this was a pleasant surprise. Our next meeting is on Sunday Feb. 19th from 7-8:30pm, when a visually challenged Sudburian will be visiting to talk about the challenges and surprises in navigating our city without the aid of sight. All youth between the ages of 8 and 16 are warmly welcomed–and do contact Jan Buley at Jan.buley@gmail.com or 522-2260 for further info.

Hospitality Ministries: The duty schedule for the Greeters, Sidespeople and coffee hosts will be drawn up for February through to June in the next couple of weeks. New volunteers are needed in all three categories to replace retiring ones, but most urgently as coffee hosts.
